Manhattan Review is a high-end test prep company that has been serving Kuala Lumpur and other world cities since 1999, and we have helped tens of thousands of students pass the TOEFL and begin their degree programs at universities in all of the major English-speaking countries. Our TOEFL instruction is based on the idea of synthesizing language skills, which is one of the major philosophies behind the TOEFL. Our students learn all of the relevant reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, but more importantly, they also learn how to combine these competencies for communication that is functional in academic and non-academic situations. With Manhattan Review's TOEFL instruction, you'll become more than a strong test-taker. The skills you learn will allow you to become a full member of your university's community.

Manhattan Review's TOEFL prep courses and TOEFL private tutoring have helped countless students meet the TOEFL standards of elite universities, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Brown, Stanford, the University of Pennsylvania, the California Institute of Technology, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Cornell, UC Berkeley, the University of Michigan, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon, Johns Hopkins, and Duke. Our TOEFL students have acquired the language skills necessary for employment with Fortune 500 companies, such as Archer Daniels Midland, Enterprise Products Partners, JP Morgan Chase, New York Life Insurance, Twenty-First Century Fox, and Walgreens Boots Alliance. Some of our Kuala Lumpur TOEFL clients have decided to return home after completing their undergraduate or graduate degrees, and many of them now work for top local firms such as Sime Darby, Hong Leong Bank, Genting Group, Astro Malaysia Holdings, and AIA Public. Information on TOEFL score requirements is almost always easily available on university websites. However, prospective undergraduate or graduate students must ensure that they are viewing the score expectations that are relevant to their specific degree level, type of admission, and degree offering. It is common for a large graduate division within a university to have TOEFL standards that are not necessarily observed by individual departments or degree programs within those departments. The minimum requirements of a graduate school of arts and sciences may be lower than the standards of a PhD program in English, for example. Furthermore, some departments have sectional score expectations in addition to minimum total scores, especially for candidates who wish to become teaching assistants. At Manhattan Review, we suggest target scores of 100 total and 25 per section, which will be high enough for most degree programs at all levels. More importantly, these scores also demonstrate a high level of English language ability.

TOEFL Prep Course Kuala Lumpur - Photo of Student Mirco

My classes with Mr. Scheno were perfect to prepare for the actual TOEFL test – I can give my total recommendation for attending his classes. During our first appopintment he analyzed my strengths and weaknesses to set up my personal course syllabus. These customized classes improved my writing, speaking, reading and listening abilities a lot and raised my confidence to succeed the TOEFL test, which I in fact succeeded. At any time, Mr. Scheno responded rapidly and accurately to my questions and was available even beyond classes. It was a great and successfull experience to work with Mr. Scheno. Many thanks!
